At the outset of this project there were two imperatives: to support the underserved by investing in the community, and to celebrate the superb vintage Porsche color palette.

Porschuhhs x Residency Apparel

We decided to address our first goal through our means of production, more specifically our partnership with Residency Apparel, a non-profit social enterprise based in our hometown of Los Angeles. The team at Residency Apparel employs women transitioning out of homelessness, providing them with an opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive community as they transition to permanent residency.  We have had the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact they have had on the community and the women they serve, and we strongly identify with the pragmatic idealism that has helped build and sustain their vision. Our secondary goal is to celebrate those vintage Porsche colors that perpetually stimulate your retinas, whether you saw it at a Saturday morning Porsche gathering and the name just barely eludes the tip of your tongue or you’re the type of person to have the color code tattooed across your cheeks.  The design itself is deeply personal, as it was first drawn by my father, Christopher Florin, back in 2005, and the first color we’re putting into production is Aga Blue, my all-time favorite vintage Porsche color.

This is the beginning of our foray into clothing, and in order to give proper attention to the many beautiful early colors within the Porsche codex, instead of making all colors immediately available, we will instead produce limited runs over time, and will initially focus on the equally iconic and at times quite rare early colors within the 911/912 catalog.
